Questions on Europe – Understanding Europe in Hamburg

Michael Roth MP and Foreign Office Minister will be talking to 150 young people from Hamburg, as well as representatives of the government and the education sector, about the current challenges facing Europe in a discussion event at Hamburg City Hall on 8 April 2016 at 3.30 p.m.

The event is part of the Understanding Europe project that is being implemented by the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe in Hamburg and the TUI Foundation. The project’s young trainers have been visiting Hamburg schools since September 2015 to give four-hour workshops communicating a basic knowledge of Europe to the young participants. They also answer the schoolkids‘ questions about European integration and opportunities for participation.

750 schoolchildren in Hamburg have taken part in the workshops since the project kicked off in September 2015. Now the issues covered in the workshops will be discussed further by the Hamburg schoolkids, young adults and representatives from the political and education sectors:

at Hamburg City Hall, Rathausmarkt 1, 20095 Hamburg.

The young people will be discussing current Europe-related issues and demands for renationalisation with Michael Roth, with a special focus on the topics covered by the EU Compact Workshops in Hamburg. After the event there will be a reception, where you will have the opportunity to talk at length with the project participants and schoolchildren.
